A new special issue ‘The Age of Interdependence. Varieties of Sustainability in the Low Countries during the Twentieth Century’ is published
This theme issue, guest-edited by Peter van Dam, delves into the history of sustainability in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Belgian Congo during the twentieth century. The articles deal with a variety of attempts to balance ecological, economic and social interests in domains varying from agriculture, water pollution, forest management, colonial pisciculture, the brewing sector and the alternative food production and consumption.
